Create a branded QR code that still scans reliably

Make a QR code your own without sacrificing contrast, borders or readability.

Check the destination first

A branded QR code has two jobs: to look like it belongs to your business, and to open the right information when someone scans it. Begin with the second job. Enter the complete destination, including https://, and check that the page works on a phone. A beautiful code cannot repair a misspelled link.

Choose Website in Jarvis QR and enter a short, stable address. A restaurant could use a menu page on its own domain rather than a long temporary campaign URL. Shorter content also leaves more room for a clear pattern.

Choose contrast before decoration

Dark green on light cream can feel personal while remaining clearly visible. Pale yellow on white is a poor starting point. If you use a gradient, keep both ends darker than the background. Preserve the clear border around the pattern so scanners can separate it from nearby artwork.

Add a modest logo only after the plain code scans. The corner patterns carry locating information, so leave them unobstructed. Jarvis uses high error correction and limits the logo area, but a busy mark can still make the result harder to read.

A worked example

Choose Forest, add a small square logo, select Rounded card and use VIEW OUR MENU as the caption. Download PNG and print a sample at the physical size you plan to use. Try it with at least two phones, in lighting similar to the final setting.

The local decoder tests the rendered image in the browser. It is an early check, not a guarantee that every printed surface and phone will scan. If a sample is slow to read, remove the logo, simplify the dots and strengthen the contrast before adding more decoration.

Deliver the final artwork

Keep the code proportional and preserve its margin when placing it in another document. PNG is convenient for office files; SVG is useful when a designer needs to scale the artwork. Test the final print rather than only the live preview.

Saved Jarvis designs contain styling only. They exclude QR content, passwords and logos. You can reuse the visual settings without accidentally carrying a previous customer’s information into the next code.
